I’m from a small town with a high unemployment rate and I believe job security lies in being your own boss. For that reason,  I am passionate about helping local entrepreneurs bring their offline businesses to an online, global market. In the past year, I’ve gotten local businesses over 400,000 views for their products and services on Google Maps.  Many people are intimidated by social media marketing. I take the fear factor out of marketing your business online by explaining things in “layman’s terms” instead of tech talk.  I’ve been a self-employed advertising & graphic designer for 13 years. I started learning about online marketing before it became “mainstream” and now have seven years experience in social media management and digital marketing. I teach seminars at local colleges, chambers of commerce and conferences – many of which are free to the public.

In addition to being a graphic artist, I married an artist. To help other artists make money doing what they love, I became the Marketing Chairwoman for the Marketing Committee at Tryon Arts and Crafts School. I also help local businesses by being a member of the Discover Columbus NC tourism committee. I like to stay ahead of the competition when it comes to technology and marketing. I am constantly increasing my knowledge through participating in mastermind groups, taking online classes and networking with the leaders in social media and online marketing.
